This post is LONG overdue... we have kept busy with all the normal things and I have enjoyed looking at other folks blogs more than updating mine!
But anyway... here goes....
September was a busy month... something every weekend. The weather was FABULOUS! we went camping one weekend.. I got to go to a quilt retreat while Danny took the kids to Juneau with him to buy an new boat another weekend... and I don't remember what else we did...but it was busy! Oh yeah... picked blueberries. that was several days of driving up into the moutains. So pretty up there and I didn't get any pictures! We did get 8 gallons of blueberries. YUMMY!
September was also Carson's birthday. He started preschool also. He misses the cutoff by 16 days...so will do Kindergarten next year.
For his birthday he wanted a city cake. I made buildings and such out of candy melts and stuck them into a lemon cheesecake. He liked it though it doesn'tlook like much! there will be more picts of his birthday later...but here is the cake...
We finished painting the trim and doors...the kids helped paint the inside of the entry...
Loved Aubrey in her long legs and high heels! ha!
A quilt I finally finished and had Lisa quilt. It got a blue ribbon in the SE AK fair.. I backed it with a chocolate minkie....so super cozy now that the weather has turned cold!
We went out in the boat some... make it to Tysanka bay for a picnic supper...
Wearing my new "funked out peasant blouse" pattern by Lila Tueller with fabric from Anna Maria Horner's voile... so soft!
Aubrey following Daddy while he talked on the phone...
Supper... kelbasa with bbq sause and baked beans...
Aubrey digging in the sand...
We hiked out to Battery Point several times, this time with Linda and her company...
