We have decided to keep Carson in Kindergarten and he visits 2nd grade a couple times a week for reading. I am happy with this, because I like the class he is in. He is strong in math, but weak in writing. So he is right where he needs to be. He loves it anyway!
I got to go to the quilt retreat again this year. It was so nice to sew without inturruptions and without thinking of what to cook and what needed washed and folded. I got a few projects done and was inspired to continue on!
Bazaar season is coming and a friend suggested we make cake pops...so I have gone overboard with my planning... I think I'll make several cakes and cupcakes as well!
I did do a babyshower cake. It wasn't what I had in mind when I started...but this is what I came up with.. The idea is cute, but the blocks aren't square...and by the time we cut the cake they had about fallen off. I guess that is what happens when you don't really have a plan!
Aubrey was so cute in this outfit.. and flipped piggies.. she is quite the character!
The feet were the best part of the cake...and the taste...

I got the rainbow swirl top finished... now to layer and quilt it!

And these snowballs have been under construction for awhile..I don't like doing the same block over and over and over.. so I kinda got burned out with this...but I do like the way it turned out.
