CAKE!!

We finally are well enough to have company and make my cakes!!

I got my ideas from www.iammomma.typpade.com/i_am_baker/

Mine aren't as good as hers, but they turned out ok.

I tried homemade fondant. But I made it 2 weeks ago, so it was a bit dry. I think if I use it right after I make it, it will be more pliable. But I think I'll use it again.

The inside is vertical layers... I'll have to get photos of that tonight.

It was still snowy 2 weeks ago when I decided to do the snowflakes... it is feeling alot like spring today.. Oh well!

I am not sure if I like the red tinted roses or
just white.. I don't want it to look too much like bakery mass produced cakes..

Anyway, it is easier to spray the red on than to take it off, so I'll leave it for now...

This is one that I started a long time ago... was one of the first blocks that I pieced... then finally finished the rest this last month.. now to quilt it...

My strange son.... decided to wear his jammie top in a new and unique way... He wore it all day this way... No, we didn't let him outside the house this way!
