I took the kids out to the golf course one morning to take pictures... I plan to go back when the wild iris's are blooming and there is a bit more green. It was fun, though...

Last weekend I talked Danny into taking out the 3 spruce trees in front of the house.. Then I planted a shade garden. This area gets 2-5 hrs of sun each day, so they had better love shade.. also the snow falls and will damage anything that will stay above ground during winter. SO these are all perinnials... Can't wait to see them coming up!
This weekend was a Breast Cancer fundraising walk. From Klukwan to Haines... 23 miles. I wanted to walk with Shannon, but wanted to run a bit at first. SO I started about 30 min after her and ran off and on the first hour or 4 miles... I finally caught up to her when she had to stop to nurse her little one. And we continued on. When we reached 11 mile, we knew we just had to finish. I never intended to do that. We weren't sure how baby Emily would do, so we just hoped to walk for a couple hours. But Emily did GREAT and we went the whole way!! OUCH!!
Actually it isn't as bad as I would have imagined. I have a sore hamstring that makes me limp a bit... and a couple blisters. Now I don't have any excuses!

Danny and Carson in the backhoe digging up the trees...

Carson LOVES construction!

Aubrey DOES NOT... and didn't want her picture taken...

Then Daddy proceeded to scare the bageebers out of Carson, Mama and Aubrey...

Carson was quite excited to be able to lower the hot water heater into the truck all by himself!
Shannon and I walking... the guys would drive ahead a couple miles and check on us.. the kids played while they waited... they were a great support group!

TWENTY THREE miles????? Good grief! That's awesome! Way to go! :-) (Can you tell I'm impressed? I am!)
Great pictures of the kids-- but Carson is looking SO grown up! Not a little boy anymore. I am also wickedly impressed with your walk. Glad you got to go visiting, love the pictures of all the kids on the steps.
