Awww...

I am delighted when my cakes turn out in reality like they are in my head. I haven't done much modeling with candy clay...but this little doggie turned out cute! I made the cake for the Haines Animal Rescue kennel's (HARK) dessert auction. It is a new flavor.. coconut cake with lime curd filling and coconut buttercream. YUM!

This bulb box cake is for the Big Brothers Big Sisters fund raiser, silent auction. It is a spice cake with orange marmelade filling and cinnamon sour cream frosting. the flowers were piped with candy melts.

This next weekend is an auction for the American Legion. they are trying to raise money to support a visit from the Vietnam Moving Wall. I've got a grand idea in mind... hope it turns out as well. Not sure what flavor though?!?! Any ideas?!?!

Wow, what a flavor medley! I would be entirely no help, I'm so plain jane on flavor. But I can't wait to see what you decide! Super cute cakes, what a great job. It certainly looks like a labor of love and it's very inspiring. =) You do so many different kinds of things with cake, too. I just cut it up, shape it and slap frosting on it. Loved the bulb cake especially, probably because we've had a few warm days and it's hard not to put a bunch of new stuff in the ground! Gotta wait til the cold weather is gone for good. Can't wait to see more cakes!
