I am way behind on blogging...sorry. Don't know if anyone besides Nana looks here anyway! =-)
So, Nana...here are some picts!
We have kept busy painting, picking berries and playing in the sun. I got most of the trim finished but there are a couple windows that Danny is going to replace, so I am waiting to do those later. He is also replacing one door, so will paint the doors later.. with all the rain we are having that may wait till next spring. I also jumped in and painted the kids dresser. Just finished yesterday... have to wait till Aubrey is down for a nap and Carson is in his quiet time. I tried to let them paint it, but... WHAT A JOKE! Once Aubrey was done painting she still wanted to walk around with a loaded paint brush. She made it well known that she didn't like me taking her paint brush away...so into the tub she went, a fussin all the while! And while I was getting her settled, Carson decided to refill the little container I had given him to paint from. He climbed up on the top and spilled paint everywhere...so decided to paint with is hands and feet....and legs and bum... SOOOO into the tub with him. Then to quickly spread the paint around so it wasn't gloppy and then to wash the kids and rewash the kids, cuz the water was green after the first round.. then to wash the tub.....SOOOO. no paintin for them unless strictly supervised! =-)
I did get their hand and foot prints on the drawer fronts. Once I get the drawer pulls put back on and the dresser back in their room, I'll take a finished picture. It is quite bright...almost glows. But will be nice in the winter when we need some color!!! =-)
We spent one day picking blueberries. Drove about 20 miles up the highway and then another 15 or so on a dirt road to the end of the road way up the mountain. Was absolutly beautiful! Got about a gallon of berries. Hope to get more, but with the rain I haven't been getting out as much. I am catching up on housework! I was lucky to have a good friend volunteer to take Carson for the day on Friday so I was able to finish his birthday presents. I made him a doll quilt as he is playing dolls a bit with Aubrey. I also made him a Lowly worm. Those of you who read Richard Scarry books will know who that is. It is Huckle's best friend and Carson has a cat Huckle that he loves. So I figured he also needed a Lowly. I'll get picts of those on his birthday. I also sewed a "4" on a shirt as his birthday shirt.
I guess that about wraps it up...and here are the picts....
I often see them setting together in the chairs reading, or playing...or fighting...
Aubrey sitting pretty in her pillowcase dress...
Everyone working on their computers...
OOPS, sorry turn your head for the next one...Painting the dresser...at least he didn't ruin any clothes! =-)

Aubrey painting in her rain suit....

Cool girl, or alien?!?

Checking the crab pots on a horribly smokey day, Thankfully this was the only day like this...

At the fair... Carson and Danny rode the farris wheel. I wasn't going to get on that thing, especially with a wiggly Aubrey!!!

Carson and Aubrey and Bethany on the Merry-GO-Round...

Riding the train with Bethany...

I sewed a dress from one of my grandmother's pillowcases... It is a bit tight at the top and a bit long... I do have another matching one, so could remake another one.

Aubrey dressed herself...at least pulled on the "skirt". You'll notice the sleeves hanging out the sides.... and her bed head do!

Aubrey wipping Carson's kisses off..... A game the both love.. I don't mind either because that means I can keep kissing them!

Being sweet...

Aubrey's hair is getting longer... She is growing up so fast!

Fishing boat out on that really smokey day. That is the sun in the sky.. and there should be mountains back there somewhere! just hidden...

The state is putting up an new tower on a close mountain. They used this Vertol to pick up the generator building to put up on the mountain. We watched from below where they hooked onto the bulding. then headed out to the airport when they were done. Carson and our neighbor and friend Owen got to check it out inside and out...

glad to know you had a busy summer though! I about died laughing with the paint story...sounds like my kids! Glad someone else has 'normal' kids too :)
love the pillowcase dress...very cute! can't wait to see the dresser...
I'm sure there are many others that check your interesting blog ... not everyone leaves a comment! Love the pictures! What kind of hat does A. have on in one of the pillowcase jumper pics? Cute one of all three working on 'their' computers! A. wasn't only painting the dresser ... I spy some green on her forehead! She looks like a cool chick with the glasses upside down! Like the pic of Carson taking pics of the helicopter! That was quite a bldg it picked up! Keep the blogs coming! Love, Nana
I love the painting story-- I can SO picture it! It's great how little projects turn into month-long things when there's kids involved! I like the pillowcase dress very much, you're so talented! Aubrey is looking so much more grown up than the last time you posted pictures... it does go fast!
