WYPR Train Trip

Carson is all ready to go with Huckle tucked into his teddy bear "pack-pack"

Our diesel locomotives
Shannon and Owen and Carson...

Carson showing Huckle the Skagway River

Looking down the steep canyon at the river...it only gets steeper!

Aubrey wasn't too impressed, but did good. Maybe because I plied her with snacks the entire trip of 3 hrs!

Crossing a bridge with a beautiful river below..
Neat history... Check out the White Pass and Yukon Route web site

Hard to capture the awsomeness of the mountains...

An old bridge that was an amazing feat of building... the whole railway is an amazing accomplishment!

Well, bummer can't see it but there is a train along a tiny ledge getting ready to cross a bridge and head into a tunnel...We'll be up there shortly...

One side of the train was VERY close to the rocks...

And the other side was very close to a STEEP drop off!

Crossing the trestle and headed into the tunnel...

OOPss guess that was all I got... hard to keep track of 2 kids and get good photos, but we had fun. The kids were tuckered out after the train and then some time at the park and a tad bit of shopping. We took the ferry back and got home about 4pm... a great day. I bet Carson will want to do it again next year! Thankfully they have a local's day with more reasonable prices!
